You will find a well-stocked selection of acoustic guitars – classical and steel-string guitars, guitars built by guitar makers, student guitars, children's guitars, flamenco guitars, ukuleles, jazz guitars, travel guitars, acoustic basses, as well as unusual and alternative stringed instruments. For decades, Zupfgeige has stood for high quality and a sustainable selection of classical and acoustic guitars. In addition to a wide range of carefully selected student guitars, professionals will also find a large selection of high-quality instruments here. We source our classical guitars primarily from small, traditional Spanish manufacturers who use traditional methods.
Our individually crafted luther guitars come from both renowned and talented young luthiers.
When it comes to western guitars, we strive to find instruments outside the mainstream.
In our own guitar workshop, we not only perform a wide variety of repairs, but also refurbish and set up all instruments before they are sold, and we are happy to accommodate special customer requests.
History
Zupfgeige was founded in Karlsruhe in the late 1970s by the luthier Rolf Eichinger. Matthias Adler, owner of Zupfgeige, learned guitar making from Rolf Eichinger, a former student of Antonio Marin Montero and Manuel Lopez Bellido, and took over the business in 1991.
